What is the Expo?
The Expo is a pre-race event held one day prior to the run where you can collect your Race Kit (Bib with Timing chip etc.) and connect/network with fellow runners!

Can you post/courier my Race Kit/Bib?
No. All participants must come to the Expo to collect their Race Kits/Bibs.

Can I Collect my Bib & Kit Bag on Race Day at the Venue?

No, you cannot collect your Bib/Kit Bags on Race Day.

Bib & Kit Bags shall be collected only at Expo which is on 14Th October 2023.

CAN SOMEONE ELSE COLLECT MY RACE KIT ON MY BEHALF?
We recommend participant(s) collect their own race kit. However, if you need someone to collect on your behalf, they will have to bring a print out of your entry confirmation email and a letter/email/text from you authorizing them to collect the race kit on your behalf.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO COLLECT MY RACE KIT?
You will need a photo id (Pan or Aadhaar or Driving license etc.) to collect your race kit. If you are collecting the same on behalf of another runner, you will be required to bring an authorization letter/email/text along with a copy of their entry confirmation.

Each participant will receive a confirmation of their entry via email (also downloadable format), you are not required to print this email, but it would be a good idea to have a copy on your phone available.

What about accommodation for runners who come from outside?

Please nearby hotels for accommodation options near the venue and inform them about Erode Marathon to avail offer rates.

Half Marathon (21.1 kms) ,10 km Run, 05km Run and Majaa Run (5km Non- Timed)

How do I register?
Registration for the event is only through the website www.erodemarathon.com . If you belong to a Corporate Organization and wish to register in large numbers (> 50), you may register as a Group. For more details on Group Registrations, please email us at eroderunnersclub@gmail.com

What is the minimum age for registering?
The minimum age for all the events are as below,

Half Marathon (21.1 km) is 18 years as on 15-October-2023

10 km run is 15 years as on 15-October-2023

05 km run is 12 years as on 15-October-2023

Majaa Run is 08 years as on 15-October-2023

There is no limit on maximum age.

How much is the Registration Fee?
5k – Majaa Run – 550+ Registration Charges

5k – Timed – 700+ Registration charges

10k – Timed – 850+ Registration Charges

21.1k- Timed – 950+ Registration Charges

What does the registration fee cover?

  • Official Race T-Shirt
  • Finisher’s medal
  • Goodie Bag
  • An official race BIB (RFID Tagged with the exception of the 5K Fun Run which is not a timed run)
  • Water, energy drinks and refreshments along the course.
  • Medical Support
  • Post-race refreshments
  • Timing E-certificate (only for  Half Marathon, 10KM Run, 5km Run)

To ensure that the timing is recorded, the Runner must cross all the timing mats provided at various locations. The Timing Certificate (Soft Copy) will be provided for runners who have completed the  Half Marathon/ 10KM Run/ 5KM Run in under  3:30 hours / 2 hours / 1 hour respectively.The Majaa Run is not a timed event and therefore will be no timing certificate provided.

How should I train for the event? Are there any training runs scheduled?
Erode Runners have posted a Training Schedule called “Run Don’t Stop” specially for the Beginners/ Intermediates. Check our Training Schedule here

Join us for regular/ Training Runs at Railway Colony/ VOC Walkers Ground  Daily from 05:30 – 07:30 Am

What is the last date of registration?
Last day to register will be announced on the website and social media forums.

Can I transfer/cancel my registration?
Will there be any refund? Sorry, no cancellations are possible and donations are non-refundable.

Can I change my category once I have registered? For example, if I have registered for the Half Marathon, can I now change to a 10 km event? Or vice versa?

Oops! I have made a mistake in one of my registration fields. How do I correct it?
Please email with the correct details to our registration partner – support@myraceindia.com & eroderunnersclub@gmail.com.  There was a problem during registration. I have been charged but I did not receive a confirmation. What should I do? Please email with the correct details to our registration partner – support@myraceindia.com  & eroderunnersclub@gmail.com

Do I receive any acknowledgement after registering?
As soon as the payment is received, an email confirmation will be sent to your registered email ID. If the payment has gone through, and the email confirmation has not been received, please send an email to our registration partner – support@myraceindia.com & eroderunnersclub@gmail.com with Transaction reference number. I have made the payment, but confirmation e-mail has not yet been received! It can be due to one of two reasons:

  1. There is a possibility that the confirmation e-mail is in your spam folder. You are requested to mark our mails as ‘Not Spam’.
  2. Sometimes, there may be a time lag between the payment being made and the information reaching us, payment gateway delays. If the delay is more than a few hours, please send your reference number by e-mail to our registration partner (support@myraceindia.com) & eroderunnersclub@gmail.com  and we will take the necessary steps.

Can I transfer my race entry?
Race entries are non-transferable.

Can I transfer my bib to somebody else or can somebody else run using my bib?
Transfer of Bib and running using someone else’s Bib are strictly prohibited.

Can I register on the day of the event?
No, you cannot register on the day of the event.

What about the weather in Erode on the race weekend?

The weather in Erode is generally pleasant, with temperatures of 25 to 32 degrees C. However, humidity may be as high as 50%. Sudden showers may be expected, and they are usually short. Runners are requested to dress appropriately and ensure they are sufficiently hydrated throughout the course.

Will the event be called off in case of heavy rain?

There have been sudden showers few hours before the start time at the previous edition of Erode Marathon. The event went ahead despite these as they were just cloudbursts. Calling off the event due to unfavourable weather is at the discretion of the organizers. We believe that the well-being of the runners is priority and any weather conditions which necessitate the race being called off will be deliberated thoroughly by the organizers before a decision is taken. There will be no refund of the registration fee in case the race is called off due to weather or any other acts of God (force majeure clauses) and the decision of the Race Director is final in this regard.

Can you provide some details about support and aid stations?
There will be aid stations clearly marked out and available at approximately every 2.5 kms of the course. The aid stations will have water, isotonic sports drinks, fruits, salt etc. They would also have basic first aid facilities (such as band-aid and pain relief spray). We request you to dispose of all trash in garbage bins/ bags stationed near the aid stations.

Will there be any medical facility or emergency support provided?
The following will be available should any emergency occur:

  • Ambulances for any emergency support covering the entire route.
  • Doctors at the venue
  • First Aid volunteers along the route
  • Route Marshals who will patrol the course on bicycles
  • Aid Station volunteers who can assist should you feel fatigued, dehydrated or too tired to continue

Every podium finisher will be eligible for Prize only in their Age category as assigned by the Event Organizers. No individual can claim prizes in more than one category.

CHIP timing will be considered for Prizes and Podiums for all participants in the Veteran & Senior Veteran Categories.

Gun Timing will be considered for the Overall Winners.

The participants are requested to line up themselves accordingly as there will be no corrals for line up.

Provisional winners in every category will be announced at the end of the Event. However, prize money will be transferred electronically post event, only after confirmation of results and verification of age and other details as necessary.

Timing mats may be removed from Start point 15 minutes after the flag-off of the Race category

Runners who start their race 15 minutes after the announced start time will not qualify for Timed runs.
